If you mean +P then yes, S&W says the Shield is rated for +P. If you mean "tp" as in toilet paper, I wouldn't risk it.

I have used it, but I wont try to reload the brass, I get a fairly good "glock bulge" in the shield when using +P

I carry gold dot 124 Gr. +p in mine. And I carry tp for those moments that just sneak up on you

Personally I would stick to standard velocity 147gr in short barreled pistols. They tend to loose less velocity, and expand more reliably. They also have less muzzle blast.

This is your second thread about ammo. I seriously suggest you go to youtube and watch the ammoquest video's. Shootingthebull on this forum did the extensive testing himself. He also did them with a 3inch micro 9mm to show how the rounds would perform in the type of pistol you have. I strongly urge you to watch them. I learned a lot from them and have altered my own ammo purchases after seeing the gel tests and how the rounds performed. Best of luck.

I say all of this because everyone has opinions. We are gun owners, have you seen the caliber debates and brand loyalty yet? So what is the best way to counter such blind loyalty to brand and name? testing and RESULTS. After seeing how poorly some of the rounds I carry performed I made it priority to move into a better performing round.

Also, owner beware. +P are great rounds but they can wear your weapon down faster than standard loads. I am sure you can and will find standard loads that perform great.

Yes, Gold Speer Dot not the 124 but 124+P in my Shield. Haven't read or heard that +P are a problem in the Shield.
