Depends on which one your gun likes.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

    Oh NO!

Opened a can of worms now.

They are decent loads. They do flash a bit in my experience. Shot both into wet newspaper bare and covered in cloth. No surprises. I have several MTM boxes full put up for SHTF ammo. I like the 115, others like the 147. Usually a 50-50 split when the question comes up.

Probably the 115gr as these things function like Silvertips. In other words, they're old school and old school depends more on speed, in which the 147gr is lacking unless fired from a rifle.

On the other hand, the 115gr might lack a couple inches of penetration, especially with winter clothing.

I really wish they made a 124gr version.

My final decision? Either is better than ball. Buy a box of each and figure out what you and your gun get along with best.
