    HST

Got some of this in the gunshop recently and did some wet newspaper testing. Worked good, even from a short barrel (150gr .40S&W). Looking close at it, it's Gold Dot without the Gold Dot. Same hollowpoint, just a plain copper jacket instead of an electroplated one. I noticed that the round had a deep cannelure crimping groove like commonly seen on revolver cartridges. I guess to help lock the core and jacket together. I'm switching to this in .40 after my 135gr Quick-Shoks run out.

    Cool, new wallpaper :)
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

That's what I carry in my 1911. Good stuff.

Ordinary civilians like me can buy it from Streicher's - http://www.streichers.com/

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

That's what I carry also. During one of our tactical training sessions we sat down and did lots of head to head tests with several different brands and loads and the Federal HST came out tops all the time. Very Impressive Load!

I've been trying to get my hands on some HSTs. I just bought about 250 P45HS1G (Tactical Hydra Shoks). I wish that I had purchased some HSTs instead. Trying to track some down!!

I've seen pictures of 230 gr HSTs expanding to quarter size!

They're out, but I did order some Federal Tactical Bonded 230gr +p rounds this weekend. I haven't seen any stats on it(other than on Federal's LE ATK page) but it looks pretty impressive also.
