    .38 special bullets

When I got my model 36 s&w these bullets came with it, they fit tight in the cylinder and they are shorter than the normal 38 bullet. Was wondering if anyone seen these before.

Looks like some .38 s&w rounds. These predate the .38 special and do not fit into a special. They have larger bullets(.361") and a shorter fatter case. There were many older revolvers chambered for this round.

Pics of the Head stamps on the ammo would help. What do they read?

Bingo - .38 S&W. Wrong ammo for your Chief's Special. You want .38 Special.
