I would think they mean no T/C Encore pistol in 308 or the like.

If you can't shoot .22 there, I wouldn't want to shoot anything because their backstop probably isn't very safe. Its probably talkin more about T/C Encore pistols that shoot .30-30 and things like that. But it can't hurt to ask them.

I am sure you can shoot .22, even rifle, at the range. Our range has the same rule (base on what they are certified to shoot); I can't shoot a .30 carbine round in a Ruger Blackhawk, but I can shoot a .50 S and W, because it is a pistol round.
