Was out amusing myself and killed a few water jugs jut because. The ammo was some 135 grain Hydra-Shok,I think the one on the right may have hit some ice on its way to its stopping point in the 3rd jug, blew the first 2 all to pieces and looked awesome doing it. The one on the right made it into the 4 th jug amid its own aquatic explosions.
Both had jacket separation but this doesn't really bother me I figure if I do have to use it thats just more damage one way or the other. Now what did this accomplish or teach.... Nothing but it did make me smile
If it needs to be done, do it.
Next best thing to blowing stuff up!

Can I play too?Looks like fun that never ends.
Those jugs were good kids. They were all on their way to the recycling plant to be repurposed for medical use. They could have saved lives!
I shoot up some water jugs once in a while, it's fun to do something besides just punching holes in paper once in a while. If you have some jugs and hydrashoks left try throwing 4 layers of denim from an old pair of jeans across the front of the first jug and see how they do through heavy clothing.

took the .44 spc out to kill some jugs with a 165 grain FTX,here it is beside a 135 grain hydra shock
on my postal scale the 9mm weighed 6 grams and shed its jacket while punching into the 4th jug, it devastated the 1st jug blowing it all to crap and looked pretty impressive doing it, it also had about 1/16" more expansion than the .44 did but the Hydra-Shock has all ways spread out a lot. itis rated at 1060 FPS and 337ft-lbs of KE.
the .44 spc. came in at 10 grams on the scale and stayed together while punching into the 4th jug, it slapped the jugs every which away but didn't have the aquatic explosions of the 9mm being a much slower round and as you can see the FTX didn't spread as much as the Hydra-Shock but they are not known for huge expansion either. it is rated at 900 FPS and 296 ft-lbs from a 2.5" barrel my 3" was probably doing a little better than that but without a chrony who knows.
If any of this is helpful to y'all, you're welcome, I'm just bored and looking for some entertainment myself
If it needs to be done, do it.
Hydro-Shok'ing some water jugs eh?
Could we call that "Fracking" ??? and really upset the bed-wetters ????
