Nice post, sounds like you found a winner with the 165 double taps.
I am wondering, how is the recoil with the G29's? Never had a chance to shoot one but I am interested in it and whatever the G19 size would be called of the 10mm.
The G29 could be a nice bug or even primary if carrying for deep concealment.
The G29 recoil with DT ammo is very managable in my opinion. My wife likes
to shoot it also. She says it has less recoil than her .38 Special Taurus.
The recoil is straight back due to the Glocks low center of gravity. It has very little muzzle flip with even the hot DT stuff. I can double tap reasonably well and stay on target without difficulty. I did put in Wolf 19lb springs. Pretty good retort, though. Folks ask what your shooting.
did you get before and after weights for the expanded bullets?

On Thursday I am returning to the same spot to test fire my new box of DT 135gr 10mm stuff. I am going to use the same paper bundles I used for the previous testing for comparability. I will also take some 175gr silvertips too. Results to follow......
I look forward to reading about your continuing tests ! I keep the 175 Silvertips in my G20. I think the comparison will be interesting ....
I test fired the 10mm 135gr Double Tap into wet ad-paper like I did before. In addition I fired the 135gr into wet phone books.
Into the ad-paper (which I think is more dense than regular newsprint or phonebook paper) the 135gr penetrated 6" and created an explosive wound channel. The bullet was pulverized and left many fragments. All I can say is holy ****!
Into wet phone books the 135gr penetrated almost 11" and vaporized a large wound channel on the order of a 2" diameter. The photos are of the same shot and show the entrance wound. This is not the wound channel but where the bullet entered the phone book.
I also fired more 165gr DT and Winchester Silvertips. I'll try and get to those stories in a day or so.
