    I love the .357 magnum, I would rather carry it for S.D.. but my level of proficiency prohibits this practice.
    so I go with a single stack .45 acp

    KelTec P3AT when it is warm - most of the year here. .45 when it's cool enough for a jacket all day long.

    I went with 9mm, though I also have carried a .357mag, .38spl, .380, and .22lr. In a moment of weakness I sold the .357, but I still own and carry the others, though the .22 is a woods gun.

    I'm best with the 9mm and .22. Ammo is plentiful and still cheap, and because I practice with these two so much, I know I can make hits. Two hundred rounds go through the 9mm per week (I'm slackin' there though due to other pressures) and I have no idea how much .22 I use. It's quite a bit though.

    So, my reasoning is that if I have a gun I practice with quite a bit, I know how to use it better than the others.

    Also, there's just something about the .36 calibers I like. Maybe it's because I'm a fan of the 1851 Navy Colt.

    I guess I don't get to vote as my caliber isn't listed.

    I like 44s, Specials or Magnums depending. I carry other calibers as well, but whenever I can it is a 44. I have an S&W 696 which makes carrying a 44 Special pretty easy. I also have several N-Frame 3" revolvers which carry just fine except in the hottest part of the summer and or depending on how I have to dress for the occassion.

    That's a tough question! I carry 9mm, .40 & .45 I carry them all- so how do you choose. I have more 9mm guns so I could say 9, but if you look at frequency- it's a toss up.

    I voted 9mm but last night I went down town to see my wife sing with the symphony and I carried .40 - go figure.
