    What is your final answer?

Hey I've been wondering for a while now and I figured I'd just start a poll! I'm just looking for what caliber you carry. I'm not looking to start a caliber war or any other problems!!! I just want some numbers as to what caliber you finally decided on.

    Please vote.

    I'll start...9mm.

There...that was painless...I feel better now.

As I've said in other posts, I carry a 9mm on and off duty because I get ammo free, and therefore can train a lot. If I could get free ammo in other calibers, my answer might change.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

    I mainly carry a .357 (loaded with .38's) so that's what I voted. I also sometimes carry a 9mm, .380 and .357 loaded with .357's

S'okay. Post the poll again in another year and the old timers won't be able to see ".45" as an option.

My primary carry is a .45 so that's what I voted.

Though I know a few carry one you forgot, 357 Sig.

    Mark me down for .40 s&w- I own a .380 KT p3at, a colt combat commander .45, Glock 27 .40 (carry)

Hey there isnt a 7.62 x 39 here! I "carry" that in the truck! (Sometimes a 12 Gauge) Since I said that, I cant help but to be curious.. of what a 12 gauge shell is in "caliber". I know they are not measured in that way but im just wondering.

    Primary.. .40

    Secondary (backup).. .380

If I had to replace my .40 it would be with a .45.

I voted .40 because I tell no lies.

From wiki - "A 12 gauge shotgun, nominally 0.729 inches, can range from a tight 0.720 inches to an extreme overbore of 0.800 inches."

So, they would be around a .73 caliber, give or take.

    .45 ACP for me.
