Here's my favorite loads in .45: Speer Gold Dots, Rem. Golden Sabers, Fed. Hydra-Shock, Win. SXT - all in std. pressure, 230gr. and in that order. If my first choice isn't available I buy the next on the list. I actually use the same list in 9mm but prefer 124gr. +P in all brands.

All those sound good to me. I definitely agree with you on the 9mm too.

CorBon DPX, 160 gr X-bullet. Fired through 4 denim layers, and doesn't turn into an FMJ performer like most JHP rounds. Penetrates car door simulations and still performs with desired expansion and most of the penetration in gelatin. Nothing else touches DPX performance, from all reports I've seen. It's just so danged expensive.

Expensive is right. I'd like to try the Corbons but at $24 a box I just can't justify the cost when I can get Gold Dots for a bit more than half the price.
