Can't speak for what Clint carries today; however, if I understand that column correctly it was written in 2001. Alot has changed in the world of ammunition manufacturers these days. I recently received my order of FEDERAL HSTs and I must say I am impressed. I plan to keep them in the magazines of my SA 1911 MILSPEC.

    HorseSoldier:
Why impressed, has Federal changed the bullet design somehow? Just curious if there's something I'm missing since the last time I tried them.

I've carried the Federal loads in the past and would again without feeling disadvantaged - they're still in my top three personal favorites but I currently carry Speer Gold Dots with Remington Golden Sabers as a second choice.
