The problems I had were with rounds in the blue and white box but, I tried them again on the advice of a friend and had the same kind of problems with the red box.
I don't trust them. I won't carry them since I do not trust them and that's that.
I won't carry a gun I am not 1000% sure I can trust my life and the lives of my family with and I feel the same way about the ammo and magazines in that gun. And for me, that means Cor-Bon ammo is on the no carry list.

I'm getting out of the +p business so I had a box of .45 pow'r'balls
and decided to shoot them up. All went bang with good accuracy.
I have shot probably 200 rounds of .45 powerball, 100+ of 45 DPX and at least 200 rounds of 9 mm DPX through 5 different guns, including a Hi point 45 and a kel tec P 11, neither of which is known for hard strikes. Never had a misfire, failure to fire or any other problem with any of them. DPX is the most accurate round I have found for my P 11. As far as I am concerned Corbon is completely reliable.
I've never had a problem with the Pow'rball ammo. I use either Pow'rball, or Federal EFMJ in my carry guns. Never a failure to fire. But, carry what works for you. Defensive ammo is just too important to risk having ammo that won't go bang when you need it to.
IIRC, and don't hold me to this... But when Corbon first came on the scene, they were great, reliable, and had no problems... I shot Corbon for about a year. Then at some point, they underwent some management problems and some quality control issues that I believe to this day, they have yet to recover.
They have attempted to regain their early reputation by introducing some new rounds like the Powerball, but I think they are still, not what they used to be, back in their first 10 years.

Bark'n I would agree years ago they were it. don't know if it was a shake up like you say or something else but QC isnt what it used to be nor are the rounds..
Shot up my 9mm pow"R"balls today; biggest problem was ducking when they blew stuff to pieces.
