    Headstamp info (& candy)

Mainly wanted to mention this useful site on Headstamp Info. It happened today to be an ideal source as I was puzzled over one headstamp on my .223 once-fired cases.

Turns out this was BlackHills Ammo. Lucked out a bit as on going thru some bulk stock of once-fired and deprimed stuff .. turned out a large proportion was this match stuff Nice brass, altho some has small ejection dings but that will fireform out when used in rifle or Contender. I do like to have same brass for more critical loadings.

Used some of that usefully restocking my varmint loadings .... and while these are lethal lil fellas - there is some sense of eye candy as well Hornady V-VAX 60 grainers over 3031. Only a quickie pic so bullets look a tad dark.

Haha - well the tips are actually made of sugar - you can lick 'em

If the varmints don't expire from blood loss - they fall to high blood sugar!

I like that picture. Loud and clear message, for rodents anyway. Are those things rodents?

    Thanks for the resource, too.

Anyone else think the B of the BHA looks like it was stamped with a P at some point in the manufacturing process?

Nic looking ammo. I think it's "eye candy".

Black Hills match ammo is one of my .308 Savage 110's favorite ammo types. They shoot .75 MOA from my rifle. Black Hills usually cost less than the "premium brands", but luck for me my rilfe really likes it.

Again, luck for me, it's other favorite is PMC, SP, I think 158gr(?). (shoots about 1MOA) I use the SP for hunting.
Anyway, it's cheaper than the others too.

Thank God my rifle doesn't only like Hornady or Fed Premium. I'd go broke faster.

True - it does look a bit that way - but inspection of several stampings does show it is definitely a ''B''. Maybe didn't pick the best example!
