The round was so hot that when it went off it scared me--I thought I'd find pieces of my pistol scattered all over the range!
I haven't seen a box of these things in a few years. Are they still made?

The SafeStop ammo is very nice as well. That is what I'm carrying in my M642 at the moment.
The Safestop 38 non +P is what I'm carrying now too. works well in any airweight 38 snubby

I use GDs in my G27, but they are the standard 180gr GDs. I may look into some of the SB loads for the 27. I may also check out some of the .38sp loads for my 642.
I wonder how they would perform out of a 4" 13 or 64. I'd like to only carry one load for primary and secondary.

The .44 magnum SB GD looks promising as a self defense load. A 200 gr GD at 1075 mv.

Depends on who you believe--on stoppingpower.net, the round expanded very well out of a S&W 649.

I was hoping to see something in .380 ACP for the mouse gun. I'm using the traditional Gold Dots now, but I'll take all of the advantage I can get in that calibre.

I've tried the .38spcl +P 135gr gold dots and I wasn't that impressed. For one thing they do not shoot to POA for my gun (Taurus 651), and I found them to be rather weak. I do handload though, and my .38+Ps are on the top end of performance. I prefer to load a Speer 146gr semi-jacketed SWCHP, because it is a wadcutter (ala SafeStop), it is a lead hollowpoint, It shoots to POA, and it won't lead my barrel.
None of this means much I suppose, but it is my $0.02.

Im using Hydroshocks, I wish Federal still made Nycad's, I hear they were great for .38 j frames.
