Just when you think it's over, WWB and Julie Goloski

Julie Goloski shoots for S&W (formerly Glock) and she just won the USPSA Title. There's a picture of her in the latest issue of American Handgunner on p. 129. She's seated, in her competition gear, glasses, muffs and all. Guess what she's doing? She's got a box of .45ACP WWB in her lap and she's loadin' up mags. It's unmistakable that it's the 100 round 'economy' box. Now why would she be shooting WWB in a match?

This didn't appear to be an advertising shot, but rather a candid shot. But, if we assume she is being paid to shoot and advertise for Winchester White Box ammo, she is winning with it. I wonder if she'd shoot it and if she could win if it were inaccurate or prone to failures?

Not sure what you mean by reality, as far as I can tell this is about as real, i.e. competitive real as it gets.

I wouldn't carry this ammo simply because it's ball ammo. But if that's all I could get, I'd sure use it with confidence.

Could have been a prop for the photo shoot. Who knows. Does Winchester sponsor her ?

Agreed, but that implies Julie would lend herself to false advertising. It seems equally reasonable, and speculative, that she was shooting WWB.

    Maybe she likes the box

She might have recycled the box for her real loads.

Maybe she can just shoot anything, period...good, bad, other. If you're that good, you're that good.

I dont know what people have against wwb. I must have gone through 10,000 rounds by now. It really isn't inaccurate as some say. I think wwb is the scape goat for peoples shooting abilities. Not all, but some. I know occasionally we all speculate how a round ends up 6 inches off target and assume its the ammo. Remember, Even on a bench rest, the slightest deviation from shot to shot can result in a shot being way off course from 25 yards.

WWB has been reliable and consistant for me... but then again, I'm not a shooting cutie pie like Julie so who cares!

    Agreed.

I've been shooting WWB for ~5 yrs. now and it's my primary training round. In all that time I've had one dud. One.
There is nothing wrong with WWB and it is accurate as my hand will allow.
