Stockpile is such an ugly word
Right now I have about 3K of Wolf 7.62x39, 300 rounds of .357 for defensive purposes, 200 .38 special for IDPA matches and I am a about 100 9mm personal defense and 150 for matches.
I do need to get reloading!

WWB and every so often Blazer in .45 and now 9MM too
WWB and Federal Match FMJ and JHP in .22LR
I may start buying WWB .40 and .223 as well even as I don't, yet, own anything chambered in either as insurance against future long term pricing hikes.

I've got three boxes of 20rd. Corbon DPX in .45 cached for long term rotation toward carry use and a 50 rd. box of Winchester JHP 'Personal Protection' along with a 20 rd. box of Federal 'HydraShock' for HD. I plan to order three boxes of DPX in 9MM this week or next if I can get myself over to the gun shop.
I cleared out inventory of my local WalMart Saturday buying 5 100 rd.boxes of 9MM. I'll be back for more when they resupply. That stuff is damn cheap relative what I've been paying the last two years toward .45 ACP.

At the moment I mostly have WWB in 9mm and some .40. I also have 1000 rounds of Fiocchi in 9mm.

I'm not stockpiling ammo particularly, but I am stockpiling components: powder in both smokeless and black powder, primers, brass, etc. I've also bought moulds for each caiber I own and have about 3 buckets of wheel weights and 3 buckets of pure lead. Basically, I'm set ..... I can reload as little or as many shells as I need. Currently I have loaded or factory made 4 to 500 rounds available for immediate use.

Talking My Defenisive Ammo for Home Invasion

I just took possession of 250 rnds of Remington .40 180 gr JHP (Less penetration more expansion)along with 100 rnds of Remington 165 gr of .40 Golden Saber I feel real confortable. I stockpile Winchester 165 gr .40 FMJ Value Pack from Walmart AKA WWB I keep at least 1000 round at all times at least. When I go to the range I burn anywhere from 300 - 400 rnds. my carry ammo is the 180 and 165 GS I alternate in my magazines haven't had to use yet be a double tap would be in order.

WWB, but it would definately depend on how each gun responds. My 9mm pistol shoots the WWB great, only slightly less accurate then the Ranger ammunition, so I get it for both stock and range.

My rifle I get the cheapest stuff I can find (which is usually $2 a round), whenever I can find it. I will eventually get 20 rounds of the $3-4/round stuff, but that is for big hunts - therefore need less.
