Here is a nice photo I found of handgun calibers and relative comparisons to a .223 round

My two calibers of choice are .357 mag and 9mm parabellum.

That being said I am currently carrying a 9mm Short or 9mm Browning or otherwise known as a .380 ACP

I mainly carry 9mm but sometimes go to a .45. The 9mm can be found just about anywhere in the world and is still relatively inexpensive. I think it is a good round that just about anyone can handle.

It would be .40sw for me and 9mm for the misses.

.45ACP! Because it's the caliber I shoot the best!

I carry a .40....it's a good round, I believe in it and my ability to shoot it. I also believe all of the polled rounds will kill anybody just as dead as any other round. A .45 was my first and still my favorite, owned several 9mm's, felt good about having it. The .40 covers both ends. I'd trust any one of the three.

    i prefer .40

but, yeah, when it comes down to it... shot placement still takes importance over caliber. proper shot placement with a hell of a defensive round... even better.

I prefer the .40, but recently I'm beginning to develop a liking to the 9mm.

45 for the street, 10mm for the woods.

True, but to knock down a BG pumped up on PCP I'd rather have a .40 or a .45 in my hand then a smaller caliber.
