My only complaint with UMC is accuracy. I think they have someone loading powder using a kitchen teaspoon or something like that. The rounds I pulled down varied as much as .3 grains.

Other than that, they all went bang and did hit the target---somewhere.

The brass IS good for reloading.

I shoot a lot of UMC stuff...one reason only is that is comparatively cheap to use...haven't had any problems with it...

I like UMC, but I'm a cheap ammo kinda guy. My stockpile is nothing but UMC, WWB, and AE.

It does get the gun dirty, but every round goes bang, and it's accurate enough for me. I can consistently hit what I aim at with my USP out to about 30yds (1911 slightly less, it seems, but I blame that on crappy sights), and my AR and PTR-91 have no trouble with paper plates at 100yrds.

I'm not gonna win any competitions with UMC ammo, but it goes where I point it, and I have yet to encounter any ammo related failures with it.

I shot a lot of it in .38spl and never had an issue with it.

With one exception in the last three years I've never had a problem with UMC 9mm or .45 ACP ammo and I've probably consumed more than 10,000 rounds. My H&K P2000, Kahr PM9, and XD45 function well with the UMCs.

My Kimber Tac Pro II .45 ACP is another story. I switched to MagTech to solve my Kimber FTRB problem. There were other factors contributing to this problem but the one thing I noticed was that the UMC .45 ACP round was just a shade longer than the same round made by MagTech (I'm talking about 230 gr FMJ).

Range loads: no problem. A bit dirty (I'm picky), but never a failure to go BOOM.
