I've heard of them, but doubt I'll ever see any up here.

Just get Corbon DPX. Same thing or better. And much easier to find and get.

Love them. Same bullet as the DPX, but the Taurus is a non+p load. Look around, there are still some available. Very easy shooting.

Yes, they are as accurate as I am. I did start a cedar tree smoldering
shooting one of those rounds into a dead dry knot, had to pour water on it to put it out.

It is what I carry in my SA Micro Compact. Great ammo at a cheaper price than Cor Bon. I bought 6 boxes at my dealers and shot 5 of them through my carry gun just to test reliability. The fact that they are now quietly resting on my hip should give you a hint as to my thoughts on their quality.

Why does Taurus only make theirs in .45? Why not also .40, .38 & 9mm?

The real question is do they still make them at all?

The answer is ...No! I believe that PMC did the loading, Barnes did the bullet. ArmyCop, they never got around to any other loads. Now we have the DPX by Corbon. The only thing that I don't like is that everything they do is +p. Well, and the cost. $11.39 for the Tarus vs $25.99 for the DPX.

Taurus still lists it on the website (not that it means anything) and while I've never seen it any where other then on line (where I've recently seen it listed as in stock) the post's I've seen about it have all been favorable.

Barnes did the copper bullet, PMC did the case, and Hodgdon did the powder. So it says on the box. Good ammo, and the price is right. My latest catalog from Midway lists the bullets alone at a greater price than I paid for the loaded cartridges.

My sentiments exactly. I've been telling myself I'd get a few more boxes to keep, and just haven't done it. I was quite surprised when I tried to order some of the X bullets from midway and saw the price - WOW.

Thought I'd mention also that the Taurus .45's are reliable in my Glock 36, which is the most finiky .45 I have when it comes to refusing certain types of ammo. And, as stated before, these rounds aren't +P, so with shorter barreled CCW type pistols, it is easier to stay on target. Just me, but I'm not sure there's that much to gain from the +P anyway (in the 3"-4" barrel range), JMO.

Going to search out some of those rascals TODAY! Thanks for the reminder!!

I saw them at my gun store over the weekend. Didn't pick them up as my .45 is no longer in "Active Duty". It's a 25 year old Llama 1911 copy, that is about at the end of its reliable life span. If I got another .45, I'd consider them, especially since they are not +P (something I'd never put in a 25 year old gun, for one thing!).

EDITED to add...and, re the original post question, of course I don't shoot "coppers", I have the utmost respect for our law enforcement officers!

EDITED to beg forgiveness for the lameness of the above joke.
