    Bullets online

    Hi Everybody,

Just wondering where you buy your handgun bullets, not ammo, just bullets. I just began reloading and I'm wondering I can find good deals. I've seen bullets at places like http://www.midwayusa.com/, and http://www.cabelas.com/, but there must be more sites, and better prices.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have ordered from Cabelas before(cause I had points earned). I usually use Berry's plated bullets. Less fouling and cheaper than FMJ.

I believe there are several threads on this. I've streichers.com is good, and there are about a million "shooting supply" stores that all carry ammo. ammoman.com etc etc....

I use Midstates cast Bullets (Google that) - and get 9mm .356 115 grain, .45acp .452 230 grain and sometimes too 158 SWC 357. These are pretty good for price and quality is fine - ideal for reloading practice ammo.

In fact a Google search altogether should yield many sources for you - just compare prices... particularly when it comes to jacketted stuff - sad thing is as ever - cost of shipping and so sometimes just as good to buy local, pay more but still save on shipping extras.

For quality cast like my .459 405 grainers I use for 45-70 ........ Laser-Cast is good stuff - I think available thru Midway but maybe direct too - I forget.

Some folks like Rainier (spl?) copper washed cast - or they may be swaged - anyways a search on those should give some comparitive prices.

    Discount Ammo

Check ammoman.com and ammotogo.com-may be cheaper than reloading.

I use www.bulletworks.com out of Breckenridge TX. I pay $65 per 1000 for 45acp 200gn LSWC. I have a friend that lives there so I dont pay shipping but I think that is only about $7 per 2000 in a flat rate box. They are VERY good bullets that are very hard. I price shopped alot and they seem to be the cheapest.

Sorry fatboy - I misread your post initially. I usually order my bullets from MidwayUSA.com, but natchezss.com and the plethora of other "shooters supply" stores are also good. I like Cast Performance and Beartooth Bullets best - but use those in my .44 Mag and .45 LC - my .40 uses Rainier plated for now until I use the rest of them up - then I'll find something in lead probably from Lasercast. I use Lasercast in my .45 ACP - they are a little more to buy them locally but when you factor in shipping its about the same as ordering online IME.

When I used to reload, don't anymore but I used to use these folks exclusively for my .45acp and 10mm/40 calibers. Great folks and great service.

I like Gardner's Cache. Pretty cheap, fast shipping, and good service. I'd recommend them if you're looking for lead bullets. http://www.gardnerscache.com/

They have WC, LSWC, RN, and FP bullets.
