Okay. I just read about these in the shotgun forum and someone provided a link to them at Sportsman's Guide. Unfortunately, there wasn't really a description for them. What makes them special? How do they work?
Its a charge of powdered ceramic that acts as a slug and then completely turns to dust after hitting something solid. Its mostly used on the door hinges and locks and just tears them off or pushes them through the wall. They were developed to prevent the dangers of richochet.
They work great though.

Way back when "swat" teams were a new idea. Such ammunition was not available commercially, we loaded our own using plaster of Paris. They worked fine.
