    Corbon DPX

Any experience out there with the Corbon DPX round in 9mm? I have heard some good things about it but was wondering if anyone had some range time with it.

Not with the 9mm but with .40 and .45.

If it functions well in your firearm I would highly recommend you carry DPX. I think it is the best SD ammo available.

For me, it shoots a tiny bit higher than standard hard ball target ammo but not enough to make any sight changes. I love the stuff!

I use it in my 9mm's and 45 ACP.
For the .357 Magnums I use either Remington 125 Grain SJHP's or Black Hills 125 Grain JHP's.
To me it's a good round with adequate barrier penetration.

I've shot about 100 rounds thru 4- 9mms. One didn't feed it well, rest liked it. 60 rounds thru P3AT without a bobble and only rounds I carry in it. I like everything about it but cost.

    9mm shortie

I shot 25 rounds of it, troublefree through my Bersa .380

Compared to the WWB FMJs it had remarkably little kick, but I think the WWB is a little on the hot side.

I've heard lots of good things about this round, in terms of deep penetration and expansion, hence the name DPX...

My everyday carry piece is loaded with the DPX stuff. Not Cor Bon, but Tarus. All ammo with the DPX is kinda pricey, and the bullets alone are about a buck apiece from Midway if you reload.

    Hello.

Here are some observations on Corbon's 9mm DPX ammunition:

I have about 25 rounds thru a Bersa CC 9 with no issues, I am confident in its stopping power!

I am a bit concerned about the low round count that some have fired with their chosen load. I would want 100 rounds, at the very least, with 200 being better, before being confident. Yes, expensive, but better to carry hardball that is known to work well than a controlled-expansion round that might feed. I am considering DPX in .40, and have bought one box; if it works, when I can afford it, I will buy more. My P229R seems to feed anything thus far, so I just might be content to trust it with DPX with 100 successful live-fire feeds.
