for personal use, I carry whatever I can find the best deal on when it's time for fresh ammo.

at the moment it's Speer Gold dots, 9mm, 124gr. +p, JHP

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

I carry these because I heard nothing but good things about them.

    155gr

I had been wanting to move from 180 gr to 155 and found this 155gr Ranger at a good price so I bought a whole mess of it and take it to the range weekly.

    2-.38+p's and 3-357 magnums

    I carry both in my 5-shot S&W j-frame.

Both are Speer 135 gr. Gold Dot "short barrel".

State of the art bullets. State of the art powders. Both formulated by Speer specifically for the gun I carry. Both tested extensively by law enforcement departments and many independent tests posted on the internet. Both almost always favorably reviewed.

I don't have the time, money, or expertise to test myself. I just take the word of the hundreds of pros and amatures who do.

Hopefully I'll never have to use the gun. If I ever do, I want the odds on favorite ammo in the cylinder.

    45 ACP ~ Gold Dot 230gr JHP
    380 ~ Golden Sabre 102gr HP
32NAA ~ Cor-bon 60gr JHP (not a big cor-bon fan, if speer or federal made a round for this cartridge I'd use it)
