    124 gr. +P Choices

I think I'm gonna go with 124 gr. +P for my CZ 75 Compact and Kahr PM9. Since I can't decide I'll be getting a few boxes each of Speer Gold Dot, Federal HST and Black Hills. Good call and/or any other ones to choose from?
Also, feel free to inject any 124 vs. 124 +P discussions.
    Thanks.

The Speer Gold Dot is a very good call. IIRC, the lastest poll on this board showed it to be the most popular.

I don't have a 9mm but I'll +1 the Gold Dot's, all my guns like 'em and I haven't read any bad reviews anywhere.
I say if your gun doesn't mind the +P's and you can control them well, might as well use 'em!
    For what it's worth anyway...

Haven't tried the Federals but hard to beat the GD+p. Black Hills is a little faster in my guns but uses Hornady XTP bullet and doesn't expand like the GD.

I love speer gold dot, but I usually just go with the standard load not the +P. I just like the way the standard loads fire out of my 3 inch barrel better than dealing with the recoil from the +P. I'm just not a huge fan of hot loads.

I would re-fill my hungry 9mm glocks with that, only if they were available anywhere. Do tell if you know of someplace that has the Ranger T 124 +P.

You are shooting these now? Well, not now, but recently?

I've been shooting the 124+p GDHP, and like it. I'm tempted to try the BB. My concern is that the pressure must be off the charts. I've been told by a salesman that they are within SAAMI specs, but...

    Here goes...

Brand "A" is a "standard pressure 9mm load.
    Brand "B" is a +p 9mm load.
Brand "C" is BB, and labled +p+.

I'm told that Brand "A" is actually at 80% SAAMI, Brand "B" is 90% SAAMI, and Brand "C" (BB) is 100% of SAAMI. so, if all of them are within SAAMI specs, why call it +p and +p+?

And how much of an issue is it running a pistol at +p+?

My 9mm is a Smith and Wesson M&P9c.

There's way too much salesman scuttle-butt for me to confidently answer that question. I WILL, however, give a personal-experienced thumbs-up for the Speer 124 gr +P 9mm. The Gun Rags say so, my chrono says so & the one-stop statistics say so. One of the BEST!

    None of the above. DoubleTap:

    "9mm+P 124gr Speer Gold Dot JHP 50rds. $25.95

These loads are low flash and really move. All three loadings are +p rated and deliver quite a punch! The 9 is just fine! Now available!

    Caliber : 9mm+P

Bullet : Speer Gold Dot JHP

    Ballistics : 124gr @ 1310fps / 473ft. lbs. from a G17.
    124 @ 1295fps / 462 ft. lbs. from a G19

    Box of 50rds."
