Summer/winter loads. Do you switch it up?

Do you carry different ammo for different times of the year? Knowing that in the summer your target may be wearing nothing more than a t-shirt compared to winter where you may have to penetrate a few layers of clothing.

If so, what loads do you switch up and for what seasons?
Why do you own a fire extinguisher when you have the fire department to protect you?

I make sure the load I carry will work no matter what. Sometimes the BG in summer may wear multiple layers. (Several robbery account will state that the bg shed close shortly after robbery). I make sure that I prepare of the unexpected.

I have seen hollow points that have been shot thru a leather jacket, the material fills the hole and this will prevent them from expanding; making them pretty much a ball nose. I also seen some hollow points never expand. I always care hollow point; at least you have a chance of expandsion.

I don't switch it up either. 230 grain hollowpoint will do ok in winter clothes, and great in summer clothes. Maybe if I lived in Alaska I would change my ammo with the seasons.

If I lived in Alaska I would carry a .454 and penetration would not be a issue, for a human target anyways.

Nope , never saw the need since any hp that gets plugged acts as ball ammo does anyway . Anything i carry i count on basically ball performance and just count hp wound ballistics ( if they occur ) as gravy . CCW Pistols are poor performers on large animals such as deer or humans and tho I carry the best hp ammo i can , i dont count on it to do a thing that ball wouldnt .

Personally, I've never give that much thought. No---I don't switch loads--I figure what I currently carry is best for most anything.
