Never carry a round you haven't tested in your pistol unless you run out....only don't run out. At any range exercise I always leave two mags full of my carry load in the console and don't even take them onto the firing line. That way I don't run out.

Same here. I spent a lot of time and money on my 230 grain +p TAP it is groven in my gun, and I shoot at least 20 rounds (carry mag and spare) to make sure I have no issues and to keep them fresh. once you find ammo that meets your needs, and it proven, why change?
I believe in gun control...... Thats why I use TWO hands.

Old thread, but I'm sure people still read it...

HST is an acronym for Hi-Shok Two. It's the second generation of the classic Hi-Shok JHP.

I use Federal Hydra Shok in all of my SD handguns and will for many years to come. Why? I bought 1K rounds each of .380, .38 and .40 cal at auction in 2008 for $0.41 per round.

I started out with either Gold Dots or Hydra-Shoks. Now I run Winchester PDX1 in everything from the .380's to the AR. It seems to perform as well or better than the others and I can get it in the store with a 10% discount.
