    +P ammo questions

    I posted this question over on ar15.com and didn't get much insight. Maybe someone here has the answers. I currently have a Baby Eagle .45 and a Sig GSR Revolution C3 1911. I picked up a box of Hornady Tap +P a few nights ago. I didn't notice the warning on the box until I got home. I can't find any mention of this in my owners manuels. Does anyone on here know if these two pistols are rated for +P ammo? Anybody on here currently using it in either gun. I know there are some baby eagle fans on here from some of the avatars. I did email Sig, but haven't heard back. Thanks.

    Your Sig and Baby Eagle is a modern firearm and made of quality parts. You shouldn't have any problem. I don't know if the Baby Eagles have alloy frames or not, but either way +P ammo is going to increase wear and tear on your gun somewhat. If you are worried, shoot one round with the magazine out and inspect the case for signs on excess pressure. I don't have a Sig or Baby Eagle, but I shoot +P ammo out of my .45 and haven't had any problems. Its not all that much more pressure really...

    Doesn't the baby eagle have that hole to see if it is loaded ?
    I would not.
    The web site says do not.
