    Anybody Rock .357 Sig?

Anybody here using a .357 Sig format either for carry or practice?

I have a Sig P229 in .40Cal and have been doing some research about getting a barrel (.357) to switch back and forth at will. Seems like the .357 Sig round is pretty nifty and chambers great!

I'm thinking about getting a barrel for USPc .40.
It seems like a hot little round, and sometimes you may need to shoot through cover!!

I've got a Sig P226 that is a great shooter.

I have a sigpro 2022 in 40 but for about 170.00 can get a 357 sig dropin barrel and with just the barrel swap shoot 357sig,as far as i know i don't need to change the recoil guide spring as the round should have enough pressure to operate the slide IIRC

Absolutely! An HK USPc in 357 Sig and a Dan Wesson CBOB in .45ACP for my carry choices. Try some slower-burning powder in a full power charge and light them off around dusk. More fun than the 4th of July. Seriously 357 Sig works for me. Have NEVER have a FTF, FTE or any other malfuction. Carry ammo is pricey (Hornady 124gr XTP's shoot great in my HK) but reloading costs little more than for 9mm.

I rented a glock at the range last month so I could try it out. I was about to buy a new gun and I wanted to give it a chance.

I'm not sure if it's the round, or that I just don't generally like glocks... But I wasn't impressed. Certainly not enough to put of the purchase of a 1911 officer's model I was considering at the time (which I made...)

Over all, it was powerfull and all... But didn't "blow my skirt up", if ya know-what-I-mean.

Love it. Carried a P239 in .357 for years, and expecting a G32 shortly.

Got in a P229 and G32...powerful round. Don't try the G33 though, that gun walks right out of your hand.

I have a custom Browning (FN) High-Power (.40 S&W) with a KKM Precision .357 SIG conversion. I've been VERY pleased with; ballistic performance, accuracy & reliability. I can't remember the last time I had the .40 S&W barrel installed. The .357 SIG is a fine choice.

Check this website out, not only does it have data on the 357sig you can also see a lot of popular calibers and ammo. Compare and decide.
That being said the above site tested the remington jhp gs 125 grain 357 sig and got 13 inch penetration and it expanded to .796 inches. That was shot into plastic water filled jugs. To me thats about what I would want in a good defensive round.

I also have the P229 (I carry the SAS in .357 and also have a .40 barrel). Hot round.
