I like the heavier blow offered by the +P version of the 158 grain semi-wadcutter but would in no wise feel cheated using standard velocity 158 grain semi-wadcutter ammunition in a .38 Special revolver carried for self defense. There's not just a tremendous advantage to +P, especially in the snub barrels.

Only my views but I like the heavier bullets in the .38 Special. It handles them with aplomb, something that .380 won't do. The light bullets can feed the 9mm and .380.
