Sort of a side note but I've noticed I'm getting a LOT of bullet setback with the 230gr. Speer Gold Dot in my 1911. It's just from doing press checks when I pick it up or carry it (like I do with all my guns) and from rechambering rounds after cleanings. It may be a phenomenal round but I'm dumping these and going back to something with a heavy crimp for my auto loaders, most likely Rem. Golden Sabers.

And no, I use standard pressure .230gr loads in my .45s. I like the "slow and heavy" rounds in my 1911s. I still default to 124gr. +P in my 9mm though.
