I just picked up some Hornady 90 gr JHP, but have not gotten a chance to get to the range. For now, I carry plain old WWB ammo. Honestly, I wouldn't want to get hit by either.

Hopefully, it will run well with the Hornady. I've been curious about this, also.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

Shot the hornady 90 gr and it shoots perfect in my LCP. Have mainly shot the target American Eagle 95 gr FMJ but no problems with it either, great little pistol!

The best 380 ammo is the Buffalo Bore 90 grain Gold dots moving at 1175 FPS out of a Keltec and 1200 Fps out of a PPK plus 276 ft lbs of energy!!! UPS just delivered me two boxes today. Other good SD rounds are the Corbon DPX, and Golden Sabers, also Buffalo Bore has a 100 grain cast bullet that will penetrate 18" of gelatin, if you want pentration, through 2 people, lol, this is your round.

Have you guys tried the 102g Golden Sabre in your LCPs? There's some good data posted on that round here:

I went ahead and picked up a bunch myself. Ammunitiontogo.com has them for $17.95 a box. I haven't checked Wally World's availability and pricing.

DPX in my Kel-Tec P3AT. I would love to see some wet pack tests on the Buffalo Bore. NCHornet, have you fired BB before through any of your .38 ACP's before? Very curious

Whatever round you choose, run a box or two through your firearm to be sure that it functions in your specific gun.

I've been using Winchester Ranger-T's in mine. No problems with 200 rounds. I have some Golden Sabers that I haven't been able to try yet but I've read some really good things about them in this caliber.

Fired them last night in my P232 SL and my Naa Guardian, they weren't bad at all. Actually I believe the DPX has a snappier recoil. The testing I have read on these has been very good. BB has a lead cast bullet that will penetrate 18" of gelatin, this is to much penetration to me. I have called Sig and NAA and both say the BB are safe to use in their guns, I have also heard Keltecs says they are a go for SD use and occasional range use, but I haven't actually contacted them directly.

I really like the Speer Gold Dots. Very controllable and accurate for me.
The Corbons (DPX) were reliable as well but I was not nearly as accurate with them. I'm sure the Corbon itself is an accurate round but they were too hot for me to be consistently accurate with.

I like Golden Sabers I think they are often over looked as an excellent premium defensive round. Though I prefer HST they are not available in 380. I originally got Rangers for my wife's Bersa but after shooting a couple of test rounds I was more than a little disappointed so went to Golden Sabers. See comparison pics below

I've been rocking the Zombie max ammo lately.....

It seems to create a nice hole.

Yes I know it's really no different than their other critical defense ammo.
