    Some HST .45

Here are four of five I was able to recover, I used two wet phone books, and they still penetrated both.

Came out of my new Springfield Armory Loaded 1911.

I would not want to be shot after seeing that phone book and these.

I wouldn't want to be shot with them either. I'm carrying the 230 gr +P in my SIG 1911 RCS.

Awesome pics! Makes me consider changing my carry ammo (currently using 200gr Hornaday TAP). I might pick some up and test it out for reliability; after seeing those pictures, I'm pretty sure they perform well!

    Peace,

ammunition to go dot com has good pricing and always in stock on the Federal, and the sponsor to this sight sells em as well with a DC discount.

    I've put them through a G23 G26, just a few through the 1911.

I thought for sure those two full Size 4" thick, soak in water phone books would stop that round easily. Nope pulled a channel through there turning everything inside out on the way through.
Quite impressive to look at, if that was human it would be bring a lot of insides to the outsides.

I'll post some 9mm and 40 S&W when I get a few more phone books to shoot.

I thought they could take a little more abuse but five shots destroyed them lol

About half price if HST are bought at the gun show.

At Sportsmans Supply in Roanoke a box of 20ea .40 caliber Hydra -Shok were around $21.00.

At the gun shows in Greensboro and Winston-Salem a box of 50ea .40 caliber HST were $25.00.

Hydra SHock has a center post in the hollow point "supposedly" to aid in penetration. The bullet is also not serrated like the HST and does not "flower". It simply squashes like a mushroom. Hydra Shock is getting to be old technology now, but some still swear by its performance.

HST is new technology and has some of the best ballistics out there.
