Funny thing happened tonight. Went to Dick's to get a new helmet for my daughter's fall softball season. Silly me, not much in the way of softball stuff at Dick's this time of year. Low and behold though, 9mm ammo was on sale. Bought a case. Pretty good prices on .380, .40 and .45. Guess I got to go back. Shucks.
a year or two ago i saw that dicks had a sale on 9mm umc.
i was there for almost 2 hours trying to get someone to give me the ammo, then i had to wait in the longest line ever, than didnt even get the discount for buying a case as the salesman said i would (of course he wasnt there anymore)
i reload now.

Thanks for the heads up----available in winston salem,n.c. at the sale price of 7.98 -case price--10 boxes![]()
I just picked up a case in Topeka, but the case price there was $8.98 per box. Still not too bad.
When you've got 'em by the balls, their hearts & minds will follow. Semper Fi.
I recently saw a thread here about 9mm. ammo on sale at Dick's. I went online and couldn't find anything. But I did discover that there is a Dick's not too far from me so I dropped in. They have Remington 9mm, brass, FMJ, 115 gr. for $8.98/50 if you buy a case (10). I understand some stores have it for $7.98. It's not a one time sale, they said it will be good for hunting season. That made it cheaper than W/M WWB. I wanted to try something different for a change.
It's rare I can beat W/M so I thought I'd pass it on.
Now if they only had 124 gr. I could stock up!
Not bad. Wish I had a reason to pass through NH and go to Dick's and not pay the sales tax. That makes it even better...
Maybe I will have to pick up 500 rnds here even with the sales tax.

Don't waste your time, Dicks never have what they advertise. I have tried every store in the State and every day they say: "it's coming tomorrow". I have had this problem every time Dicks advertises Ammo.

I called Dicks again Friday and they told me they didn't get any ammo in. I sent an e-mail to their Corporate, received an automated response that said they would reply in 24 hours, three days later no reply.
I looked in the paper today... same ammo advertised again, I called three stores near me and they say they don't have any.
What a joke.
Maybe I live in a weird corner of the world, but to me a case is 1000 rounds. Sounds like Dicks is talking 500 rounds. Could be very deceptive!
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.
The UMC is indeed boxed in 10 50 round boxes per case.
So you only need to buy 500 rounds to get the cheaper price.
Which is a good thing.
Except they haven't had any in the last two weeks. I did rain check thing for some, have never been called.
Same prob with the 1.99/after rebate 00 buck and slugs they've advertised lately.
