Help with hydra-shock ammo
Can someone explain to me the difference between Federal LE Tactical Hydra-shok (P9HS2G1) andFederal Hydra-shok (FAP9HS2)?
I can get the LE hyda-shock for $23.95 for (50) and the regular hydra-shok is $16.67 for (20).
The LE looks like a better deal but I'm confused on the difference.
All help is appreciated.

I believe it's the same, but the LE boxes give you a better deal. Basically one is marketed for civilians and on for LE, but both can buy each.

Stormbringerr, thanks for the info. I just wasn't sure what all the different part numbers were from Federal. But it looks like it's all about the same.
That's a great price. I'll order some tomorrow.

+1 especially in 9mm. The new HST round has a much more reliable expansion. ATG is great. UPS left my last order on the porch in a downpour. They sent me a new box immediately and sent UPS the bill!

The HST is the way to go!! This is coming from someone who has shot nothing but Hydrashoks for years. Hydrashoks are good but there is much better stuff out there nowadays!!

I believe hydrashok bullets have the little stent int the center, which is supposed to prevent the hollow point from filling up with material if it passes through drywall or denim. HST bullets use the simpler "traditional" hollow point design. I use HST as carry ammunition, and while I never did any ballistic tests on my own, they always whet "boom" so far.
