Ultramax is a factory reloaded, shoots OK but a little dirty.

Not to take issue with Sixto, but I'd hate to see what he thinks Very Dirty is.
I've used it because my club's indoor range is lead only, and it's filthy.
It shoots fine, but is filthy.

My department uses Ultramax for practice ammo. Never had any problems with it.
Ok, am I correct in assuming this is non-jacketed ammo? If so, this will be perfect for me. I just joined a shooting club about 1/2 mile down the road from me and they forbid jacketed ammo.Originally Posted by Ranger

I just stopped in there today. They had a sale on Remington 12 gauge Sluggers for a little under $2.00 a box with a mail in rebate. Min. 2 boxes max 9. And I must say one thing; They had NO ONE in their lodge and must have lost over 20 customers in the time I was there. Horrible customer service.

I was in the Dick's in Elyria OH and their ammo prices were horrendous -- especially shotgun shells -- ten bucks a box? I hope that was a big time misprint!!

If Ultramax is a reload ammo, are we saying it would be bad for a Glock?

No, your Glock will shoot it fine. All the Ultramax I've ever used was jacketed, so its fine in the poly barrels. Just make sure it is the jacketed flavor.

How much is it on sale for? And I'm guessing its a standard Dick's sale where you have to buy a case in order to get the sale price?
Price per round is in OP. Don't know if you have to buy a case or not.

I just stocked up to the tune of a couple hundred bucks at their last sale, so I son't think I'll be getting any this time. Those are pretty good prices though. Thx for posting.

Hmmm, that's a dollar a box (50) cheaper than their previous sale. Well, I had to pay $8.98 a box for the Federal - oops, make the Remington UMC. That may have just been at my store. I'm eagar to see what they're selling the UltraMax for. If it's 7.98 per box, I'm getting some.
