For the correct ammo to shoot thru your M1, go to CMP Home. Then go to sales. A couple things to do if you do not have a DOD ID card or a DD 214. IT is worth it as they sell 400 rounds for 100 plus 16 shipping.

    Ammoman.com has good prices on 7.62x39. I haven't compared it for .30-06.

I have hundreds of Garand clips. PM me if you're interested.

http://georgia-arms.com/index.aspx <-- They are a pretty good source for ammo. Never had a problem ordering from them.

Make sure that the ammo you choose for your M1 is not commercial hunting ammo. Most of it, if not all, is too hot for an M1. If you do shoot commercial hunting ammo, you need to buy a different gas plug to let off some of the gas produced by the bullet being fired. If not changed, it will bend your op rod on the M1.

I appreciate the heads up on the ammo. I am aware of this but it is nice to hear it again.
