I don't think HST is LEO-Only ammo. I see it for sale in the internet.

They said they sell it to LEO's only as per Federal's instructions.
The "Leo Only" clause was only pertaining to actual retail stores that did stock it. It does not pertain to online stores that have it in stock because of large over stocks and unclaimed orders of the stuff. It is not illegal to own and use it.

The "LEO only" versions are available in the "Grey Market". There is nothing illegal about buying or using the ammo, it is just a marketing choice that was influenced by the "Black Talon" nonsense.
What happens is that an agency accepts bids for their duty ammo. In order to keep their funding they "trade in" unused ammo as part of the process. This finds its way to other outlets.
Ranger is the most common thing you will find online. I have not seen much of the Federal brand.

looks like spooter66 has found it for you at ammo to go. the price is high. did not know it was that much. i get it issue at work and we burn it up on the range.

It's very hard to find locally. I don't know if it's because of Federals policy or if its just a high demand item and the little mom and pop stores can't get it. It's good stuff though, I have never had a problem with it.
Ammo to Go is a good site that I have never had a problem with. They have a note on their home page about them being swamped because of Obama panic buying. I think they said to allow 10-14 business days to process your order. Good luck.

+1 on Ammo To Go. Ordered from them several times. Their HST prices seem quite reasonable. About 1/2 the price of the Federal "Personal Protection" - which is old technology Hydra-shok.
