    Ammo To Go

For those that have ordered and received ammo from Ammunition To Go, how is the box marked?

I would like my prospective order to be shipped to my work vice my home, however, it is a federal govenment building. If the box or label states "Ammunition", my mail clerk might have a fit and call the authortities.

Worst case scenario, I'll have it sent to the house.

    Thanks.

All I have received from them in several orders have stickers or otherwise are marked "Small Arms Cartridges" (picture attached).

Most of the 1000 round cases are in their own packaging and state the caliber and such on the outside of the cardboard box.

I got 400 rounds and they arroved in a plain brown box, no special labels. However if the mail clerk is reading the sender information the company name might be a concern.

All my shipments from ATG arrived in a plain brown box with the blue "ORM-D" label as pictured above (but without the cat :-) ). The sender usually just says "ATG" . Other then the fine print in the little blue label, there is no indication that there is ammunition in the package. The UPS driver tends to comment on the heavy weight.

Mine have had the label that says ORM-D "Cartridges, Small Arms".

Why risk it have the ammo sent to your house or if worried about theft have it sent to a buddies residence who will be home to receive it

That is my current plan since my mail lady stated the I cannot receive it here at work.

They send it UPS and it says ammunition on the shipping label.

Depending on how much you buy, the boxes can be deceivingly heavy--a 12"x10x10" box can be 25 lbs. That would probably raise a few questions or at least cause someone to read the label more carefully to figure out what is inside.

What I've bought came in the original shipping cartons marked Federal Ammunition all over 'em.

You're going to have to have it sent somewhere that someone will be available to sign for it. I'd suggest having it sent to the local FedEx or UPS depot (however you have it sent) and picking it up there after work.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it was my understanding that loaded ammunition that is shipped must be marked as such by law. When I had called Hodgdon about sending in some ammunition to have it tested for pressure, they indicated that I needed to write:
    Ammunition for Small Arms
    on the box.

My issue has been solved. I will have it sent to my monster-in-law's house.
