    Reloaded Ammo

Well I finally picked up my birthday present from my wife. There is a gentleman here that sells reloads for the shooting team and my wife ordered a 1000 rounds of 223 and 45 a month ago. I picked them up last night and will shoot some this weekend. I know I will be asked about the price, it was $250 per thousand for both 223 and 45. I also ordered 500 rounds of 9mm and 38, total for them will be $220. Are these good prices?

Those prices would be good for new ammo. One thing I will say is be careful using reloads that someone else made. If this is a proffesional operation you should be ok but I will NEVER shoot a reload that I did not prepare myself. In my opinion there are way too many things that could cause yourself or your guns to be damaged. Also, for most manufacturers, shooting reloaded ammo will void the warantee.

The 223 is excellent it costs me about 150.00 just for powder primers and bullets, you figure in the brass and unless he's getting it free he's not making much.as far as 45 acp I use cast lead bullets i make myself and my cost is about 50.00 1000 rounds, pretty much the same for all my handgun calibres.are the reloads cast lead or FMJ or copper plated bullets.be careful when shooting those rounds if you get a click or sumpin other than a boom stop shooting and check barrel for obstruction,
