Welcome to the forum.
There's a pretty good thread running on it here:
but last I read it, just speculation and no solid answers.

Welcome to the forum. Check out the other thread for more info like CK said.
Yes it has to do with the political situation. Everyone is panic buying and therefore the shelves will be empty for a while. It sure it nice to be a reloader.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

On the issue of self-defense, we're political refugees and scapegoats. The attacks on crime and criminals that are failing to strike targets. Instead, the measures are striking upstanding citizens in their wallets.
It's due to actual legal attacks on ammunition, ammunition and reloading components, guns themselves, the method of selling, the method of transfer, the right to own, the method of storage, the method of transportation ... and everything in between.
In the end, it is about legitimate fear over political hate of crime, and the lack of intelligence of those in legislative power to separate the criminal from the upstanding. The goal of such attacks is your gun and mine, misguided though that is. And it won't stop until it's either put down permanently, or you and I are disarmed.
Your best weapon is your brain. Don't leave home without it.
How does disarming
the number of victims?

All four of the Walmarts that I have access to here in SW. FL. have been bare as Mother Hubbard's cupboard for ammunition since Nov. 5th. The guy at the ammo counter says he doesn't know when, or if, they will get anymore shipments of ammo.
One has to wonder if the ammunition manufacturers are still making ammuntion and why they haven't responded to wild increase in demand by uping their output. Most maunufacturing facilities have excess capability that goes largely unused. If I was them, I would be hitting while the iron is hot.
Fear is a reaction.......

I have a theory that Wal Mart has a fixed buying price and small gun shop
do not .
Because of the increase in demand from gun shops that can be forced
to pay higher prices, Wal Marts orders are not being filled.
IE ammo manufactures are selling only to small gun shops and lining
they pockets with cash and Wal Mart is now left out in the cold.
As I said ,its just a theory

From what I hear, some of the Wal Mart employees are doing the same thing!

Welcome to the board. If you're running low on ammo, ATG does have the 45 ACP Federal LE Hi-Shok 185gr. Hollow Point Ammo in stock right now. I've found this to be a very good, highly underrated cartridge. They also have Winchester Ranger T and Ranger Bonded in stock, at least as of today. Ammoman also has 230 gr. Federal Hydra-Shok 45 ACP in stock with a 5 box minimum.
