Hollow Points for a Kahr CW-40

If you have a CW-40 which Hollow Point

which ammo works the best for you?

Its exspensive and I want to try to wittle it down to a few brands to try.

My biggest concern is reliable feeding and then accuracy and then recoil if there is any difference.

I think I am leaning towards 155 or 165, but it depends on the recoil.

I have been shooting WWB 180's

Well i carry a PM45 & the wife carries a PM9 & after much different ammo testing & speaking w/ammo companies & Kahr we ended up choosing "Federal HST" as our carry round, which in all things i test fired at it opens fully every single time & feeds excellent. I hope this helps

If you happen to have a Cabela's around you, they have been selling some Federal .40 LE surplus ammo that has the HST bullet in it. It runs about $24 for 50 rounds when on sale.

I have a Cabella's 20 minutes from me and yes I do recall seeing a table with Federal .40 Cal on it, I did not know it was HST

I shoot a CW 40. I have run about 500 rounds of Blazer 180 gr FMJ brass through it as well as a few 100 rounds of PMC 180 gr FMJ. For carry rounds I shoot Speer Gold Dots in 165 gr. Have not had a feed problem at all with the pistol and that is even shooting weak side one handed. Now if I could just get the low and left under control we will be good to go.

To cure the low and left I made sure my grip was right and used the pad of my index to pull the trigger and used the XS sight picture thanks to tat2, it worked for me.

Ya I have that figured out just taking some time getting the tight grip down. As for the sight pic I thought that was the way you are suppose to shoot iron sites, been doing it for years I general need a higher rear sight or shorter front site on most of my pistols as I tend to shoot them low.

I've had very good results with the Hornady XTP's in 155 grain. No FTF and very good accuracy. This is in a CW40.

thanks for all the suggestions for the CW-40
I tried some Federal 155's Hydra Shok yesterday at the range and thought they shot real well, I think I am going to try a box of 50 hst's.

Is there a reason a few of you are shooting the 155 grain instead of somethinmg higher
