.44 mag woods packin ammo?
kinda dumb question, trying to get some more experienced input. i have a ruger super blackhawk .44 mag 5 1/2" bl, i am going to use it as my hunting back-up/woods packin gun, and i was looking for advise on a good round, bullett type/weight to carry in it. it sw wa i dont run into anything larger than a black bear, ive never actually seen anything while out yet. my edc is a .45acp, but after reading some other posts while seaarching this topic, i would rather have the .44 mag while in the woods....any advise is appreciated. (btw, i am a bit large, and can handle slightly higher recoil than average)
