Does anyone know the real reason for the seemingly nationwide shortage of ammo? I've seen other posts claiming it is simply supply and demand. Anybody think there is something more insidious going on here?

I was told by one Gun shop owner that Obama has put something in place to increase tax on ammo by 500% starting in June.

    Can anybody here confirm that?
It’s so much easier now days, to "Love and honor" my wife, when she is armed, and shoots a better group than I do. (Till death do us part, eh?)

“The way you get shot by a concealed weapons permit holder is, you point a gun at him,” the Sheriff said.

Wow, It's been about a decade since I bought any, but if I remember right it was dirt cheap.

That needs to start in the House and then go to the Senate. Nothing like that yet has been introduced. He has proposed a 500% tax on ammo in the past, but not yet. On the other hand, Bobby Rush introduced the
"Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009" - which amends the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to prohibit a person from possessing a firearm unless that person has been issued a firearm license under this Act or a state system certified under this Act and such license has not been invalidated or revoked. Prescribes license application, issuance, and renewal requirements.

Prohibits transferring or receiving a qualifying firearm unless the recipient presents a valid firearms license, the license is verified, and the dealer records a tracking authorization number. Prescribes firearms transfer reporting and record keeping requirements. Directs the Attorney General to establish and maintain a federal record of sale system.

This is something we need to start calling our representatives about.

Buyammo.com has a large selection of 380 ammo. Ammoman.com is out of stock.

Might try http://www.cheaperthandirt.com I haven't checked it for .380 but they've got some deals on other calibers.

Natchez is another source to look into. I don't have a link for them though, since they won't ship to TN residents I don't check them much anymore.
