Went by one of my local Wally Worlds today and it looks like they just got a bunch of ammo in since this past Saturday. All rifle ammo of course. They still have the same two boxes of pistol ammo they had three weeks ago. One box of 44 Mag, and one box of 38SPL WWB. WM to quit selling ammo? I doubt it. Maybe just pistol ammo.

I found out that the Walmart clerk was putting out ammo first thing today so I was there at 6:30 AM. I bought three 100 round boxes of Federal .223 for $39.97 each and three 100 round boxes of Winchester 45 ACP for $29.97 each. They didn't have any .40 S&W or 9 MM in 100 round boxes. The 22 Long Rifle goes for $13.47 per 550 round box. They still order and stock ammo but it usually sells out 7:00AM.

They do sell handguns. If you live in Alaska.

Store managers are supposed to sell them based off the idea of profit. However I know of at least 2 in my area that stopped selling them because the managers are anti gun. They have also pretty much gutted the entire sporting goods section in their tenure.

    Empty shelves are one thing.
New items like fishing poles replacing the ammo is another.

Went by Walmart tonight to pick up a glove and bat for my son's birthday tomorrow. Since I was by the ammo counter I looked to see what they had. To my surprise they had some boxes of Federal .22lr in bulk. I place my stuff on the counter and the clerk who was stocking shotgun ammo asked if I was ready to check out. I tell her yes. When she gets behind the counter I ask her if that was all that type of .22 they had. She looked and they had one more box, so I told her I would take it all.

I little small talk with her about ammo moving quickly and she just stated that usually it leaves the shelf within minutes of it being placed on the shelf. While she was ringing me up a guy came up and was in line and asked if I was buying all three boxes of .22. I said yes, and asked him if he needed a box. He said he had about 7 or 8 boxes at home so he was good for a while.

I got no indication from the clerk that Wally World was going to stop selling ammo or even pistol ammo. They did in fact have some boxes of .45acp and .44 mag on the shelf. But I am in good supply of stuff larger than .22 so I am not going to buy any more of it for a while.

Now I am ready for the Crickett for the son after tax season is over.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Is your use of the word are supposed to mean cost? If so the answer would be no.

    Hello Deviceman,

No, I just wanted to know if the ammo 9 MM and .40 SW are the same (ammo itself) not the cost.

No 9mm and 40S&W are 2 entirely different calibres.People have accidently fired 9mm in a 40 calibre handgun,It's dangerous and the cases come out looking like pregnant chickens

No, .40 is closer to a short 10mm.

Wow! I'm almost tempted to try this. I've never seen a casing that looks like a "pregnant chicken".

Yeah. I heard they have been getting alot of negative press about their ammo sales because of stupid people shooting each other.
