Anyone hear this? Our Walmart has a glass shelf and is almost empty. No matter to me. Acadamy Sports is across the street and Bass Pro is 2 miles.
It's sad to see what Walmart has come to.
I still go in there.

I asked that question at my local wally world a couple of weeks ago and the guy said no. Just that ammo was hard to keep in stock.Sold as soon as it came in.

There is a wally world just 2 miles from my house. They get there ammo in every Tuesday. The sporting goods manager told me that every Tuesday 5 or six guys are there and buy it ALL! The early bird gets the worm.
my local WalMart said the same thing, same few guys are there when it comes off the trucks to snatch it up. I don't really care any more because they don't sell the JHP I want anyway.

In the Metro Detroit area Walmart is out of ammo, usually less than an hour after they stock the shelves.
I doubt my local stores would quit carrying a product that sells that well.

They are making money off it, why would they stop?

They haven't stopped selling them. Of the many Walmarts in my area, there is only one location that usually have any in stock. It's a hidden Walmart in a remote location. Ammo goes quickly and most buyers wouldn't blink an eye at buying 10-20 boxes in one visit.

The WM near is always out, too. But the chick that orders new stock only orders a few boxes of 9mm Winchester & Blazer, it always sells out super fast.
In many areas of the US the ammo in Wal Mart stores is being purchased by small gun shops - its cheaper for them to buy small quantities and re-sell it at retail. You also have people that will buy it up to re-sell at gun shows. I just bought the last box of Winchester .380 at our local WM - all the .38, .357, 9mm and .45 ACP was gone and they don't know when the next load will arrive. Their reccomendation was to check in every day.
Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.
I hope they continue to sell ammo. The two Walmarts I have been too seemed to have plenty (Georgia).
I haven't heard any plans by Wally World to stop selling ammo. The ones near me still seem to be stocking.

Our nearest wall-mart has only had .22 and an occasional smattering of 9mm and .40 cal for several weeks now.

Wally World is not going to stop selling ammo, it's flying off the shelves. The guy behind the counter at my closest Wal-Mart today told me that around a little after 10 pm is the best time to check. I would think that the manufacturers would start ramping up production soon if they have not already.
This rumor comes around frequently. So far just a rumor.
Would Walmart stop selling ammo? Well, they stopped selling guns.
