.380 Auto Question

My range uses celotex as target holders. Some time ago, I was shooting my 380 with flat nose bullets. Where my target was, there was 3 layers of celotex that was pretty shot up. You know, all soft and fluffy. I found many of my flat point target rounds laying at the base of the target after bouncing off! I would suggest ball ammo for winter use when heavy clothes may be encountered.

There are many quality brands to choose from. I suggest you try several and use the one that feeds without problem, delivers any measurable accuracy difference and is available. There is no magic bullet, but there is recoil, the amount of flash, how clean, etc... factors that may influence your decision. Personally I'm comfortable with Winchester Silver Tip, Golden Sabre or Hornady in my .380s.
