I received six boxes this week of 9mm and 45 from Streichers but it was backordered. Word is that Federal has suspended civilian HST sales till they fill their LE backorders.

I passed on picking up some at the last gun show. The dealer raised his prices by 15 dollars, and I didn't want to pay it. Looks like now I should have just given in and paid it. I bet he will be charging even more now if there is any left.

Maybe it's time to switch to gold dot

Keep an eye on ammunitiontogo.com. I scored 500rds of 147g HST a few weeks ago. Ordered it and had it in 8 days. I love ATG.

I can understand stocking up on ball ammo, but what's the reasoning behind having hundreds of rounds of JHP that will probably never be used?

I'll shoot a mag or two (or three) at each range session to make sure things are reliable. Add to the fact that I might do that with two guns each time and it adds up. I don't want to be stranded in a year without quality HD ammo that I got now for a good price. No hoarding intended, just keeping supplied. As we all know, this stuff isn't easy to find. Can't hurt to have a little extra.

Ammo doesn't got bad.

Sure it does, especially if it isn't stored properly. Ideally you would want a moisture free environment with a consistent temperature.

I am glad I picked some up from ATG a month back or so.
It looks like they have some 45 HST in GAP..... not ACP though.

Good thing I didn't bury it in the yard.
