Sgammo.com is cheaper. 300 total rounds and shipping was just 12 dollars. As an example of cheaper, a recent post had Critical Duty at 22 dollars for 20 rounds. You can get 50 rounds for 28 dollars from sgammo.com

+1 on SGAmmo.com. Competitive prices, fast and reasonable shipping. They also have a real-time online inventory that is a nice feature.
SGAMMO is the best but I live a few miles down the road from Surplus Ammo
As others have suggested, SGAmmo is great to do business with. I also like Palmetto State Armory. They don't sell in bulk but they do have really good pricing and the shipping is really cheap. At times they even have free shipping.

I was just looking on the ammoman website, what is "boat-tail" ammo?
I use Sportsmans Guide and wait for a free shipping promotion - big savings!
SGAmmo.com is GTG. I've ordered from them several times now. There is another thread discussing SGAmmo.com:

A great thread so thanks for beginning the discussion. I too drop in to Wal Mart whenever I see one. Fortunately I get to drive a lot for my job in two states so Wal Mart sightings are frequent. Online sales are just too expensive when shipping is accounted for in my opinion. Also, since I live in Illinois I have to fax in a copy of my Firearm Owners ID card to purchase ammo. At $4 a gallon of gas I don't go out of my way to buy ammo. Wal Marts are easy to find.
Wally World is OK for some low cost 9MM or 45 white box stuff which I use for practice sometimes. But for my carry loads Wal Mart doesn't carry Winchester Ranger T +P in 9MM or 45 cal. or Federal HST in those same calibers. So I need to gat them online always at SGAmmo and occaisionally Ammo To Go.
I've bought most of my ammo this year either locally from the LGS down the road or rfom Palmetto State Armory.
PSA was a bit slow on shipping this summer when their free shipping offer swamped them with orders, but they're nice an quick as of late.
They have daily and weekend deals that frequently offer very good pricing. I ordered a pile of Blazer Brass 180gr .40S&W for $11.99/box-O-50 this past Thursday and it was delivered yesterday (Tuesday)
I have dealt with both SGammo and Natchez, and both are excellent. The advantage goes to SGammo in that they do not pad their shipping prices, but charge a flat rate. Natchez offers good price and service, but will hit you up a bit for shipping. Generally, the net price advantage goes to SGammo.
I also use Lucky Gunner. They have a live inventory system that tells you exactly what is in stock and they ship the same day. They may not be the cheapest at all times, but they provide the most consistent service.
1. Sgammo.com
2. Aim Surplus
3. Ammunition to go
I shop between the 3 of them.
I cant buy my ammo at walmart. They don't carry it. Plus I don't trust Walmart products. Just like I would never buy a gun from them, because they have manufactures dumb down their guns so they can undercut other stores. SGAmmo.com is the cheapest, but I use Sportman's Guide when they run shipping specials.
