I'm new to the .357 SIG. What's a good carry ammo? For range ammo, does Wallyworld carry Blazer Brass and WWB in it (I know, if available)?
Thanks.

I just bought some Hornady 124gr JHP in .357 SIG for my Glock. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though.
Congrats on your .357 SIG. As far as I know, Blazer does not make a .357 SIG load. I know Walmart does sell WWB in .357 SIG. That is fine for practice. I, however, carry Winchester Ranger T's.

Personally when I had my .357 sig I carried the Federal hollowpoint load. It wasn't that spendy ($36.99 for a box of 50) and in my milk jug testing it went through 3 jugs and was resting against the 4th jug. It also held together very well and lost minimal weight. Sorry the pics suck I am no photog.

Is there a Federal HST SIG .357 offering? If so, what's the preferred grain?
Thanks for all of the input.
Double Tap makes two wonderful Gold Dot loads...a 125gr and 147gr. Tremendous ballistics.

Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.
HST does make a .357 sig loading P357SHST1 is the part number. You can view it here:

Thanks,
Now if I could just find some .357 SIG HST. I'd like to try it and the DT. Out of the DT, that 115g Gold Dot looks the most impressive on paper.
Any of the above afr great loads. Stock up on all as the 125 grain pills will shoot within an inch of each other at 25 meters.
I get 2-3 boxes of WWB a month for practice, But I also load my own. I have 4 different guns of this caliber though.
I like the speer gold dots, its what the Highway Patrol here in N C carry, so if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

I carry the 125 gr Double Tap or CorBon and wouldn't hesitate to use either in any situation. I've liked the 115 gr Corbon also but it seems harder to find. Never tend to use the heaver bullets in a high speed round, but love heavy bullets in low speed rounds like 45 ACP.

Again, I like those ballistic #s of the 115g DT. They're the best of the three DT GD offerings. I'm used to using heavier bullets in my 9mm with the 147g HST. Any input out there on the 115g DT over the heavier bullets for the .357 SIG?
Thanks for all of the input.
