Exclamation ATG has HST in stock for various calibers

    I paid $20 for 50 124+P (9mm) a little over a month ago and now they are $35 a box.

I even see some .380 Hydra-shoks and 12ga Flight Control.

I saw the title and went right over to ATG to order and as soon as I saw the price, forget it.

I saw the prices that ATG wants for Federal HST's and decided I really don't need them that bad. Hopefully some other company will invent a cartridge just as good or better than HST and at a cheaper cost, competition is the only way to keep the prices under control.

    Finally got some

Thanks for the heads up on the Federal HST at ATG, I just ordered 100 rounds of the .40 S%W 180gr. I'm not looking forward to the wife seeing the credit card statement but what the , it's the only place that has them

I figured you need to get it (HST) while you can. I pay almost that much for 20 rounds of CorBon DPX (.45) at my local gun store so... I ordered 100 rounds of 124gr +P for my 9mm and 50 rounds of 230gr for my .45 to add to my meager stock pile.

The price doesn't seem THAT bad, when you compare to buying 20 rounds of some stuff for $20 in store. But I have enough SD ammo.

One thing I noticed though, is that on their front page it says they are running 4-5 days behind. It used to say 7-12 or something like that. Perhaps a sign of things calming down???

I think it''s more a sign of being out of stock on almost everything.

$39.95 a box for .45 is a bit much. I ordered a couple boxes in early January for $25.95 each. I know prices are going up, but $14 a box seems a bit steep.

That price seems a little high, I remember just a few months ago when it was almost half that price.

Last year around this time I was getting 147g HST from ATG for $19 a box. I just bought a bunch about a month ago and it was $21 a box. Glad I got some before the increase.

Holy Cow!!! Here's the line from the email receipt from my order placed on November 5th, 2008 (about 4 months ago):
    1 x 500rds - 40 S&W Federal LE Tactical HST 165gr. HP Ammo (P40HST3) = $219.95

Current price on their web site for 155 gr. (no 165 in stock) is $329.95/500. That's a 50% increase in 4 months!!! Wish I could raise the retail prices in my businesses that much.

And it's not just pistol ammo. On that same order in November, I had:
    1 x 1000rds - .223 Golden Bear 62gr. Hollow Point Ammo () = $248.95

Current price for 500 rounds of Silver Bear 55 gr. fmj is $189.95 ($379.90/1000), about a 52% increase.

Although I have a few boxes, I am not going to pay $.75 - $1.00 a round. I will use my handloads, and No I am not concerned about using handloads, or even altering my guns.

    Regards,
    Jerry
